My Story:
Heartbreaking doesn't even fully cover the extent of poor Ilana's condition. After being abandoned in an apartment, Ilana was in horrible shape. She had severe mange, her eyes were so swollen she couldn't open them, she was covered in wounds and sores, her toe nails were so long she could hardly stand on them, and she was starving.
Despite all this, Ilana STILL loves people. This amazing little girl melted in the arms of our volunteers when they came to rescue her. Though she was weak, her tail wagged happily at the site of her new friends. ..
Since, we have been overjoyed watching her blossom into a healthy and pain-free dog, and the Ilana we know now is the same friendly girl when we first met her, but with a nice, shiny coat, a sparkle in her eye, and about ten times the energy she had before! This girl has arrived, is ready to get the party started, and she wants everyone to know about it! Ilana is seeking an active household who will cherish her forever. She also requests prospective families to have a fenced in yard for when she gets the zoomies.
