More Photos

URGENT: I really need a foster home. Small little things like me who are all muscle with short fur do not do well outdoors in the cold!

Nicknames: MJ, Mary, Mary May

My Typical Day: Well, this photo pretty much sums it up. (You'd dig holes, too)
Available for adoption

Likes: I want to be a housepet, indoors with a loving family who will give lots of attention, exercise and treats! Oh - I really want to learn obedience, I think I would excel at this and it would be a great way to bond with my new owner!

Dislikes: Being outside in the cold, having to be on a cable, being locked in a basement with limited people-time

My story: My name is mary Jane and jumping all over you giving kisses is my game! What else would you expect? I spend all of my time either outside on a cable or in a basement. Whenever I do finally get people-time, I'm so excited I can barely contain myself!

Honestly, my sub-standard living conditions are why I'm looking for a new home in the first place. I was found by some folks a few years ago running stray through the 'hood. They wanted to keep me, but they lived in a place where "my kind" aren't allowed (like I'd ever hurt anyone... but whatever). Anyway, the town these people lived in threatened to kill me if I didn't leave their house! What was a girl to do?

Well, a friend of theirs was not interested in seeing a spicy and super fun little girl like me end up dead. Though he wasn't sure how he was gonna swing it, he offered to save my life by taking me in. And that's how I ended up where I am today.

My guy meant well, he did try - he got me spayed and all that, and he brings me in during the super cold spells and overnight, (which is more than anyone has ever done for me in my whole life) but he wasn't looking for a dog at the time our paths crossed because he was already so busy - he must work two jobs and has no time to spend with me, so I am restricted to a cable outside or basement inside.

Meanwhile, I spend all my lonely days dreaming what of living indoors permanantly with a loving family who will let me lounge on their couch, lay in a warm doggy bed, give them kisses, and learn neat tricks.

I've served my time on the mean streets and tied to a cold doghouse. This life is for the birds. Can you hook me up with something better?

I'm probably outside as you read this -waiting and hoping...

P.S. If you can't commit to me forever, I'd still happily take a foster home over this!
