PJ was Adopted!!

Nicknames: Pumpkin, Pump-E-Kins, Buster Brown

Pet Peeves: Well the crate thing is kind of irritating, I get a little closterphobic and it makes me nervous…I also hate being forced out into t the cold to potty when I’m perfectly happy curled up on the couch with my foster mom.

Favorite Toys: Kong bone, rawhide bone, tennis ball, tug tire.

Ideal Day: Well my ideal day would definitely start when I’m good and ready. I would definitely prefer to sleep in and I have no need to potty before, oh…say…noon, so I typically put on the front brakes when I’m rudely awakened to potty in the cold of the morning. However, once I’m forced out, I do what I’m told and the blood is pumping for the zoomies once I’m let back in. I love to run and flip and turn and jump and play inside. Then I’m ready for a nap (preferably not in a crate). I’d sure love to go to a home where someone was home during the day so I could cuddle with them and wouldn’t have to be in a crate…I’d even settle for someone who worked, but could leave me out to stretch and nap on the couch. After my nap I’d eat a huge meal and be ready for a walk. I walk extremely well on a leash and I also love to go for car rides. It sure would be nice to play with my human brothers, but they had to take me away from them because of the way I look. I love kids and would really like to have new human brothers (and maybe even a sister) in my new home! After my walk it would be time to relax (which I’m all for)…I prefer cuddling up with my foster mom on the couch, or I’ll even succumb to sleeping on the rug, but what I love most is when I can sleep in the bed with my foster mom. I’m not a bed hog and I don’t kick during the night.

About PJ:

PJ is a victim of BSL. He was living happily in a caring home with this pittie sister Sox, when his family was notified that because of their breed they must be out of the city immediately. To even further complicate things, Sox was pregnant and then gave birth to 8 adorable puppies (PJ is not their biological dad). Forced with nowhere to go for this little family, PJ, Sox and her pups were forced to live in a car to protect them from being taken by animal control.

Upon hearing of their situation one of our volunteers just couldn't let them live like this and stepped in and took them into their home.

PJ is incredible. He definitely needs a prize for uncle of the year. This boy doats and fawns over the pups every minute that he can. He attends to all their needs and has taken over the role as "mama" dog. Sox does the feeding and PJ does the rest.

We are happy that we can help these wonderful dogs. They are extremely special.
