CONCERT TO BENEFIT BULLIES

KANSAS CITY, MO- In association with Mid America Bully Breed Rescue two regional bands will perform at a benefit concert presented by Californos in Westport. The concert will benefit Mid America Bully Breed Rescue, (MABBR) and takes place at Californos located at 4124 Pennsylvania Avenue on Friday August 31st at 9pm. There will be a $6.00 door fee with proceeds from the event benefiting MABBR.

Music for the benefit will be provided by regional musical acts LUCASCOOKUS and Nathan Brooks. Opening up the night is Nathan Brooks. Nathan writes songs that capture moments in life and leave you, the listener, transformed. Nathan’s music is at once both familiar and fresh, full of mass appeal yet intrinsically personal. Headlining the concert is LUCASCOOKUS, a Kansas City native now based in Austin, TX. Lucas plays a progressive rock with blues, funk, Latin and soul influences. LUCASCOOKUS music is described as “High energy rock soul funky you won’t believe it.”

In addition to proceeds from the show benefiting MABBR donations will be accepted at the event. Representatives from MABBR will be present to provide information about the organization and outreach efforts in the Midwest.

MABBR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. All donations are tax-deductible.
